Accreditation

Franklin Virtual High School is a nationally recognized, regionally accredited, distance learning school through SACS-CASI (parent company – AdvancED).  AdvancED is recognized by both colleges and employers as one of the 6 regional accreditation agencies in the United States and is the parent organization for the (NCA CASI ) North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, (SACS CASI)  Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and recently the (NWAC) NorthWest Accreditation Commission.

There are six regional accreditation organizations that are recognized by the US Department of Education.

(ACCJC-WASC) : Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges Western Association of Schools and Colleges

(HLC) : Higher Learning Commission - Formerly the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools

(MSCHE) : Middle States Commission on Higher Education

(NEASC-CIHE) : New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Institutions of Higher Education

**(SACS COC) : Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges

(WSCUC) : WASC Senior College and University Commission
